Fresno State continues to be a driver of social mobility, ranking No. 19 out of nearly 1,400 schools nationwide in the 2025 Social Mobility Index, published by CollegeNet, a provider of web-based on-demand technologies for higher education.
The Social Mobility Index measures the extent to which a college or university educates low- to moderate-income students and graduates them into well-paying jobs allowing them to move from one socioeconomic class to another. Tuition cost, economic background, graduation rate, early career salary, ethos and the size of a school’s endowment are used to determine the rankings.
